About your team

Based in Gurgaon, Dalian and the UK, the CPS Technology team is part of Corporate Enablers Technology. The team supports business initiatives across Travel, BCM, Workplace Experience, Physical Security and Real Estate

About your role
 

The CPS technology portfolio plays a significant role in the employee experience at FIL and this role will play a key role in delivering solutions that enhance the employee experience.

The vacancy is for a highly motivated Technical Specialist who will be responsible for owning and delivering technically sound solutions.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Webservices & REST APIs
• Minimum 5 years of experience with NodeJs  
• Minimum 3 years of experience with cloud – any one of AWS/Azure/Cloudfoundary/Heroku/GCP
• UML, Design patterns, data structures, clean coding
• Experience in CI/CD, TDD, DevOps, CI/CD tools - Jenkins/UrbanCode/SonarQube/ Bamboo
• AWS Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito, S3, SNS, VPC, IAM, EC2, ECS, etc.
• Minimum 4 years of experience with CSS, Javascript/jQuery or any other Java Script framework/library/ e.g. Angular, React
• Hands on with coding and debugging. Should be able to write high quality code optimized for performance.
• Good analytical & problem-solving skills and should be good with algorithms.
• Spring MVC, SpringBoot, Spring Batch, Spring Security.
• Git, Maven/Gradle.
• Hibernate (or JPA).

Key Responsibilities

• Work on Java/PaaS applications.
• Own and deliver technically sound solutions for the ‘Integration Layer’ product.
• Architect technical design of the application, document and present it to senior stakeholders.
• Work and develop on Java/FIL PaaS/AWS applications.
• Interact with senior architects and other consultants to understand and review the technical solution and direction.
• Communicate with business analysts to discuss various business requirements.
• Proactively refactor code/solution, be aggressive about tech debt identification and reduction
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot issues; and take a leading role in the ongoing support and enhancements of the applications.
• Help in maintaining the standards, procedures, and best practices in the team. Also help his team to follow these standards.
• Prioritisation of requirements in pipeline with stakeholders.
• Lead and guide a team of developers/senior developers.

Experience and Qualification:

• B.E./ B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University
• Total 8 to 10 years of experience with application development in Java and related frameworks
• Must have led a team of developers and senior developers.

Skills – nice to have: 

• Spring batch, Spring integration.
• PL-SQL, Unix
• IaaC (Infrastructure as code) - Terraform/SAM/Cloudformation
• JMS, IBM MQ
• Control-M
• Layer7/Apigee
• Docker/Kubernetes
• Microsoft Teams development experience
• Linux basic
• Snaplogic
