As a Technical Specialist, you'll be responsible for driving technical excellence across our Superannuation and Life Insurance claims team. You'll partner closely with Case Managers, Team Leaders and our insurer partners, providing expert guidance on Group Life Insurance claims, including TPD, Income Protection and Terminal Illness claims.

Through coaching, quality support and continuous improvement initiatives, you'll help ensure the highest standards of claims management and customer service are consistently achieved.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based in NSW, QLD or VIC, with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week following training.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide technical guidance and support to Case Managers across Group Life Insurance claims (TPD, Income Protection and Terminal Illness).

  • Coach and mentor claims teams to build technical capability and promote best practice claims management.

  • Partner with Team Leaders and insurer stakeholders to ensure consistent, high-quality claims outcomes.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and implement initiatives to enhance claims processes and customer experience.

  • Support claims reviews, quality assurance activities and technical discussions to maintain compliance with legislation, policy and business requirements.

  • Contribute to achieving team performance, quality and customer service targets through expert technical leadership.

ABOUT YOU

  • Demonstrated experience in Life Insurance and/or Superannuation claims, with strong technical knowledge of TPD, Income Protection and Terminal Illness claims.

  • Experience coaching, mentoring or providing technical support within a claims environment.

  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy interpretation and claims best practice.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.

  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance processes and team capability.
