Job Description:

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated TECHNICAL SITE MANAGER .

The position is based in Lima, Peru

Role Summary:
The Technical Site Manager is responsible for the supervision and technical coordination of corrective maintenance activities and the delivery of new vehicles, including warranty-related tasks. The role includes active involvement in testing, commissioning, and integration of onboard systems during vehicle handover phases, ensuring full functionality and compliance with technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage corrective maintenance operations and warranty activities.
  • Coordinate and support testing and commissioning activities for new vehicles.
  • Ensure proper integration and functionality of onboard systems during delivery.
  • Monitor and report technical issues, fault trends, and system performance.
  • Provide support to engineering and design teams in refining and implementing identified technical solutions.
  • Deliver structured feedback and improvement proposals to Hitachi Rail’s technical department.
  • Ensure adherence to maintenance timelines and performance targets.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of fleet reliability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in rolling stock maintenance, testing, or commissioning.
  • Strong understanding of onboard systems and vehicle integration processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and suppliers.

Education/Qualifications
Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electronic engineering or Technical High School.

Languages

Spanish and English Proficiency.
