About the role
The Application Engineer provides technical expertise and drive cleaning and hygiene solutions across the F&B industry.
In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with our sales teams and customers to develop, implement, and optimize cleaning and sanitation programs that improve operational efficiency, food safety, and sustainability.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge of food manufacturing processes who enjoys solving customer challenges and delivering value through innovative hygiene solutions.
Key responsibilities
Developing a clear understanding of sector processes, sector microbiology and sector cleaning by focusing on the key sectors: Dairy, Non Alcoholic Beverage, Alcoholic Beverage, and Processed Food.
Identifying the key gaps and improvement opportunities with the current cleaning & hygiene programs.
Developing Diversey cleaning & hygiene programs with a systematic approach that will include appropriate product selections, cost in use calculations, investment needs and benefits delivered to the customer.
Leading in execution of key value propositions, offerings and innovations.
Defining standards / protocols for trials, customer audits for relevant applications.
Leading key trials and gain approvals.
Create and provide reports for trials and CIP audits
Providing technical expertise on demand for sector and sales team.
Providing inputs and customer feedback to the sales team
Training / double working with selected people regarding application expertise / platform knowledge.
Supporting sales teams for serious application problems on customer sites.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field.
Proven experience in CIP systems and hygiene applications within F&B manufacturing.
Strong understanding of cleaning chemistry, microbiology, and sanitation principles.
Experience conducting plant audits and implementing process improvements.
Ability to analyze data and perform cost/ROI calculations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and presentation abilities.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
