Purpose of the Position
To provide professional technical and commercial pre- and post-sales support for Socomec PCE products to customers and the Socomec Sales team, ensuring accurate application advice, alignment with relevant standards, and effective resolution of technical issues. The role includes proposing appropriate Socomec solutions, delivering technical training, supporting site activities where required, and contributing to continuous improvement of technical content and the overall customer experience.
Key Job Responsibilities /Activities
The successful candidate will be expected to develop excellent knowledge and understanding of the Socomec Power Switching and Monitoring (PCE) product ranges in order to:
Provide technical support to customers and the Socomec UK Sales team for PCE products, including application guidance and troubleshooting
Propose appropriate Socomec solutions to meet customer application requirements, ensuring technical suitability and clear communication of key assumptions or limitations
Deliver PCE product technical and catalogue training to customers and Socomec staff
Assess customer product returns and prepare clear technical assessment reports to support issue resolution and continuous improvement
Attend customer sites to provide commissioning and troubleshooting assistance where required
Proofread and improve PCE product literature, including catalogues, brochures, and instruction sheets, to ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Maintain and develop product knowledge through relevant PCE training courses and engagement with HQ technical resources and Product Managers
Asses competitor products and provide Socomec alternatives, highlighting where specifications differ and promote Socomec features

Education & background required
Electrical/Electronic Engineering diploma or equivalent qualification
Minimum of 4 years’ experience within the low-voltage electrical sector
Skills requirements
Ability to apply logical reasoning to analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex technical situations
Good computer literacy, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
