Job DescriptionJob Summary
The Technical Sales Manager will have an independent area of responsibility while working closely with our global organization. This position will develop and execute strategic initiatives to grow sales among existing customers and identify new business opportunities. The position combines technical solution selling, business development, customer relationship management, and collaboration across a global, matrix-based organization
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies and go-to-market initiatives for pharmaceutical packaging equipment.
- Strengthen relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for account growth.
- Prospect for and develop new customers, markets, and business opportunities.
- Manage the full cycle sales process.
- Communicate the technical benefits, commercial value, and competitive advantages of solutions to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive sales projects effectively within a matrix organization.
- Set sales goals, establish priorities, and follow through on strategic initiatives.
- Manage, support, and develop customers in partnership with the regional sales managers.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and customer documentation.
- Monitor market developments, customer requirements, competitor activity, and emerging trends within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with customers and business partners.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in capital equipment sales
- 50% Travel Domestically and Internationally
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong experience with B2B project sales and marketing
- Skilled in driving sales projects in a matrix organization
- Strong commercial experience supplemented with a technical background/understanding
- Previous experience from the medical industry would be beneficial
- Technical interest and an understanding of machines and technology
- Ability to drive and manage sales
- Qualified in developing and executing G2M strategies
