Technical Sales Engineer
The Technical Sales Engineer plays a key role in identifying business growth opportunities and supporting customer sales strategies through supplier offerings. This position combines technical expertise with commercial insight to develop and maintain strong relationships, deliver tailored solutions, and ensure alignment with strategic and financial objectives for assigned product lines.
What you will be doing:
- Provide value-added technical solutions to support supplier growth plans and customer requirements.
- Identify, define, implement, and support hardware and software solutions throughout the engineering development process.
- Build and maintain key engineering and marketing relationships within supplier business units to drive collaboration and solution development.
- Create demand for assigned products by organizing technical seminars, training sessions, and resource awareness initiatives.
- Analyze supplier program performance and report results, highlighting successes, challenges, and future strategies to management and suppliers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, competitors, technologies, and customer needs in the assigned market segment.
- Develop and maintain field supplier relationships to generate demand for products and services.
- Apply technical, marketing, and product expertise to position the company as the distributor of choice.
- Support local sales teams by attending supplier meetings and implementing sales and marketing programs to increase product knowledge among customers and internal teams.
- Identify and communicate roadblocks, recommend improvements, and support product group objectives, including inventory strategies and market conversion plans.
Requirements:
- 8+ years experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
