As a Technical Project Manager III in Commercial & Investment Bank - Securities Service Technology Project Execution team, you will help lead complex technology projects and programs that promote business goals and create value for clients, employees, and stakeholders. Applying a broad knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential to developing innovative solutions, along with leveraging analytical reasoning and adaptability skills to navigate through ambiguity and change. Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. By optimizing resources and managing risks, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact projects that shape the future of the firm.

As a member of Securities Service Technology Project Execution team, you will execute projects on modernization and AWS cloud adoption. You will work with application development, Global Technology Infrastructure team, SRE / Production Management, Information Security Management, Engineer & Architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver on project requirements.  

Job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end project plans that translate technical and operational objectives into clear scope, milestones, resourcing, and timelines.
  • Drive delivery across multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing work and unblocking teams to achieve measurable outcomes.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery, technology, and operational risks by implementing actionable risk management strategies.
  • Maintain a portfolio of projects and operational risk metrics, including key risk indicators aligned to cybersecurity, vulnerability, recovery, resiliency, and capacity.
  • Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate project planning and risk synthesis (e.g., drafting plans, RAID, and status narratives), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
  • Promotes reuse-first, AI-assisted practices for project governance artifacts and reporting, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards.
  • Monitor dashboards and reporting to surface trends, escalate issues, and drive corrective actions with partner teams.
  • Writes clear, evidence-based investigations and status updates that support governance and monthly leadership reviews.
  • Partners with application development, infrastructure, site reliability and production management, and information security to deliver infrastructure and application requirements.
  • Facilitates modernization efforts that improve how applications are designed, managed, and operated, including cloud adoption initiatives.
  • Tracks project costs and progress for hardware and software upgrades, ensuring transparency of delivery and spend.
  • Influences stakeholders and decision makers to resolve trade-offs, adapt plans, and maintain alignment to goals and controls.
  • Supports evaluation of relevant platforms, tools, and vendor products to enable effective implementation decisions.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program or project management leading complex technology projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through the full project lifecycle, including adapting to change and influencing decision makers.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building productive working relationships across teams.
  • Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies used by engineering and infrastructure teams such as M365, Jira, Confluence, Verum, and ServiceNow.
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and mitigating project risks and delivery roadblocks.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
  • Experience producing clear project reporting, including status updates and written investigations.
  • Experience working in the Technology industry, or software engineering
  • Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technical program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience managing operational risk controls and resiliency-related initiatives (for example, recovery, vulnerability, and capacity measures).
  • Financial services experience with comfort operating in a complex, highly governed environment.
  • Experience partnering with global teams in a global delivery environment.
