Technical Program Manager at Torq is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating software releases to ensure timely and efficient delivery of new features and updates to customers. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing risks, and continuously improving release processes to maintain high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive complex programs in Product and Engineering to meet business objectives.
- Release Planning and Coordination: Develop and manage release schedules, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Coordinate with development, quality assurance, operations, and product management teams to prepare for upcoming releases.
- Process Management: Implement and refine release management processes, including continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with releases and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on service availability and performance.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for release-related information, providing regular updates to stakeholders and ensuring transparency throughout the release lifecycle.
- Post-Release Evaluation: Conduct post-release reviews to assess performance, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in future releases.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of R&D methodologies and tools, product development life cycle
- Experience: Proven experience as a Program Manager or in a similar role within a SaaS environment, with a strong understanding of software development life cycles and release management processes.
- Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
