This role has a hybrid work schedule (2 days per week in the office) and we will only consider candidates based in Portsmouth, NH and Boston, MA.
Job introduction:
Global Finance Technology is hiring a Technical Program Manager to support the continued execution of OneGL, Liberty Mutual's enterprise finance transformation program to get to a single financial platform on SAP. This role will work tightly with tech & business leaders on the effective program management of OneGL (functionality including SAP capabilities, data ingestion & transformation, outbound financial reporting), partnering closely with regionally-aligned Senior Scrum Masters, delivery teams, and business partners across Corporate Finance, GRS Finance, and USRM Finance.
About the job:

  • The OneGL Technical Program Manager (TPM) will be responsible for refining and implementing the delivery rigor for OneGL by coordinating the activities of the Scrum Masters on the program to align teams to a common agile release cadence, ensure consistent approaches to backlog refinement, story pointing, committed vs. completed KPIs, and identifying and executing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting to the Sr Director leading technology and architecture for the whole program, this role will partner closely with Product Owners and Finance stakeholders to ensure overall solution encompasses the end-to-end Finance customer journey, driving HOW (process, people, tech) we deliver OneGL, relying on Product Owners to articulate the WHAT & WHY (scope, impact, business value).
  • This person will partner closely with a cross-functional group of Senior Leadership (business & tech), Product Owners, Engineering People Leaders, Solutions Architects, and Scrum Masters to execute on program objectives, identify and manage cross-team dependencies, and implement program management rigor like risk & dependency tracking, consistent communication, PI planning rigor, etc.
  • This role will also collaborate with other TPMs aligned to LM's other flagship programs for consistency in program management rigor.


Technical Program Managers (TPMs) drive the development and implementation process of programs, products, and services. TPMs typically apply their background in software engineering and technology to provide cross-functional leadership to build alignment for efforts such as product architecture and solutions to complex technical needs. Providing tools and approaches to de-risk the delivery of the program by applying best-in-class program management practices.
Qualifications

  • Proven track record of successful program management in large, complex programs including managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive consensus.
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Experience delivering SAP implementations preferred.
