About ev.energy
We are building the world's largest EV-centric virtual power plant (VPP). By connecting to vehicles, chargers, batteries, solar, and other distributed energy resources, we turn households into flexible grid assets that balance supply and demand, preventing blackouts and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
We are scaling rapidly across North America and Europe. We are moving fast, we are AI-first, and we are looking for builders who want to power the grid of the future.
About the role
ev.energy grows through partnerships: with utilities, with the commercial team selling into them, and with the hardware and integration partners whose devices connect to our platform. We're hiring a Technical Program Manager to own those relationships end-to-end — the connective tissue between our commercial team, our external partners, and our engineering and product teams.

Location & how we work
This role is fully remote in the UK.
The majority of people at ev.energy work on a fully remote basis, with a small number of roles based on-site in our testing sites.
This means that most of our people work from home, but we're happy to provide co-working subscriptions if you'd like to spend time at a WeWork (or other co-working space close to you).
We balance our remote set up by getting everyone together once a year for an offsite, as we know that spending time together IRL is super important.
Belonging at ev.energy
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity: we do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status or disability status. If you'd like a copy of our DE&I policy you can reach us at [email protected]. We'll always do our best to accommodate reasonable adjustments to the interview process if needed - just let us know.

What we're looking for
- 5+ years in technical program management, product management, partnerships, or a related role
- Strong technical fluency — comfortable with REST APIs, authentication, and integration patterns (e.g. OpenADR, DERMS, utility platforms) — paired with a genuine commercial mindset
- Excellent external communication: you can lead a technical overview for a partner and a status update for an exec with equal ease
- A demonstrated ability to align cross-functional stakeholders and drive commitments without direct authority
- Experience in energy, EV, IoT, or another partner-integration-heavy domain
- A track record of building the program-management function at a small or scaling company, not just running project
What you’ll do
- Own a portfolio of technical partner relationships (roughly 6–10 to start), inheriting integration-partner relationship management as it moves into the team — the trusted bridge between what partners and commercial need and what engineering delivers
- Lead complex integrations from requirements discovery and scoping through project planning, testing, and launch to production
- Champion the value of our platform APIs and integrations — conveying use cases, benefits, and the integration process to partners and internal stakeholders alike
- Coordinate across Product, Engineering, Commercial, and Support to keep everyone aligned on the critical path and on schedule
- Develop repeatable playbooks so each new integration is faster and more reliable than the last
- Define partner-success metrics beyond uptime and SLAs, and communicate program status, risks, and ROI to leadership
- Use AI tooling (Claude and equivalents) as a core part of how you work — drafting partner-facing docs and integration specs, synthesizing status across programs, and turning your playbooks into repeatable, partly-automated workflows
- We're an AI-first company with agentic routines and shared internal tooling; you'll lean on it to stay on top of a broad portfolio and help shape how program management works in an AI-native org
Benefits
The salary range for this role is £77,500-£94,900 GBP.
Key benefits include:
- Cash amount of up to 10% of your monthly salary, to cover the cost of buying or leasing an EV
- Equity - you'll own a part of the business through our share options program
- Healthcare options - to help keep you and your family in tip-top condition (provided by Bupa & Medicash)
- Life assurance of 4x your salary
- Co-working access via WeWork (if you'd like it)
- Annual 'Team Week' whole company offsite
- L&D allowance of £1,000 per year - everyone is learning, developing and challenging themselves so we have a professional development fund per year for you to learn new skills

What We Do
The ev.energy app is the simpler, cheaper and greener way to charge an electric vehicle. Our algorithm enables EV drivers to charge when energy is least expensive and carbon-intensive, whilst balancing demand on the energy grid at peak times. We call it a win-win-win.
