The Role

The Role: The Product Owner will be responsible for taking the development of the AMP (Asset Management Platform) into the next phase. This role involves managing the product backlog, working closely with the development team, and ensuring that the platform meets the needs of the business and stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and prioritize the product backlog to ensure that the most valuable features are delivered first. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria. 
  • Continuously refine and adjust the backlog based on feedback and changing priorities. 
  • Work closely with the development team during sprint planning to ensure that the team understands the requirements and goals for each sprint. 
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to provide guidance and support to the development team. 
  • Define detailed user stories and acceptance criteria for new features and enhancements. 
  • Review and accept completed features to ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria and quality standards. 
  • Ensure development of software in accordance with industry best practices and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO27001). 
  • Implement appropriate controls across the development stack to maintain cyber security and resilience. 
  • Knowledge of continuous integration & continuous development pipelines (CICD) and experience with DevOps would be advantageous. 
  • Incorporate user feedback and usability testing results into product improvements. 
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of product features, user stories, and acceptance criteria. 
  • Provide regular reports on product development progress, including key metrics and performance indicators. 

Skills & Competencies: 

  • Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. 
  • Superb stakeholder management and influencing skills. 
  • Ability to compile and present data clearly, attractively, concisely, and in a way that others find compelling and easy to digest (using PowerPoint as well as tools such as PowerBi). 
  • Good commercial understanding of the sector. 
  • IT literacy with an interest in technology, including AI, and the aptitude to bring this into your role and the projects you are accountable for delivering. You do not need to be a technologist yourself but must be technically literate and curious about the possibilities that technology offers. 
  • Delivery focus – the ability to proactively churn through work at pace and deliver quality outputs. 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment. 
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles. 
  • Fluent, confident English (written and spoken); ability to speak Telugu is useful.
