We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Product Owner to join our CollateralONE team. This role is located in New York.

Role Overview:

The Product Owner for CollateralONE plays a vital role in driving the strategic development and management of technical products within BNY’s Engineering division. This position focuses on analyzing product performance, identifying business opportunities, and supporting product innovation to enhance client solutions. The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering and business teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and promote a culture of excellence and client-centric service.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Lead the analysis and development of product strategies by applying expertise in product, business analysis and challenging underlying assumptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, client facing teams, and operations, to ensure product initiatives align with BNY’s strategic goals and client needs.
  • Analyze market trends, product data, and client feedback to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for product innovation and growth.
  • Support the product lifecycle by providing detailed business requirements, assisting in project planning, and monitoring product performance metrics.
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of product goals and deliverables.
  • Assist in the creation of business cases, documentation, and reports to support product decisions and regulatory compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product features and user satisfaction through regular analysis and refinement.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts and team members on best practices in product and business analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies through diligent governance and risk management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners to promote product adoption and satisfaction.
     

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • 5-7 years of experience in financial services or fintech product, preferably in collateral management, securities financing, liquidity, and treasury management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and business intelligence software is a plus.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and operational standards in financial services.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $185,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. 
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
