Overview
We are looking for a Lead Technical Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and market success of Defensics, Black Duck’s industry-leading fuzz-testing platform. This is a senior, hybrid role that sits at the intersection of product management, deep technical leadership, and sales engineering, with a strong focus on customer engagement and real-world impact.
This role is ideal for a product leader who thrives in highly technical environments, enjoys working close to customers, and can translate protocol-level complexity into clear business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Leadership & Strategy
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and execution for Defensics
- Define and prioritise features based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive insights
- Partner with engineering to deliver high-quality, scalable security testing capabilities
- Drive end-to-end product lifecycle management from concept to release
Technical Product Ownership
- Act as the subject matter expert in fuzz testing, protocol security, and application security
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear product requirements and value propositions
- Work closely with engineering on protocol-level functionality and integrations
- Ensure the product meets enterprise-grade performance, scalability, and security standards
Customer Engagement & Sales Engineering
- Lead deep technical engagements with customers, prospects, and partners
- Support sales teams through pre-sales activities, demos, and solution positioning
- Translate customer challenges into product enhancements and innovation opportunities
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers on security testing best practices
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Customer Success teams
- Influence stakeholders at all levels to align on product strategy and execution
- Mentor and guide junior product managers and technical contributors
Required Experience
- Proven experience in Technical Product Management or Product Leadership roles
- Strong background in cybersecurity, application security, or protocol testing
- Experience working with fuzz testing, network protocols, or vulnerability discovery tools
