State Street’s Alpha Core Data Platform team is seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager for our cloud-native data servicing platform. State Street wants to be the most reputable front-to-back client serving platform, delivering accurate data and business value to our clients. You will derive insights from our business partners to architect simple solutions for complex problems and focus on opportunities for revenue growth and commercialization and deep empathy for our clients. The candidate is someone with proven record of technology project execution, someone with creativity and self-motivation to delivery on mission critical projects.

What you will be responsible for

As part of his/her responsibilities, the Technical Product Manager/Project Manager will

  • help to define the Platform Life-Cycle and the engagement model with the platform stakeholders, help to establish Program Governance and Demand Management frameworks
  • collaborate with the stakeholders and technology partners to translate business objectives into technology Vision, Strategy and Roadmap for the State Street Data Platform
  • manage the execution of complex projects to achieve the business objectives, collaborate and coordinate with teams across the organization
  • perform business analysis, define business requirements and work with the development team on technical specifications
  • work with the business and technology partners to identify new opportunities and create business cases to further leverage the platform and maximize its benefits
  • help to mobilize the team, train and mentor junior members
  • foster a cultural transformation in the organization to achieve greater collaboration, innovation and productivity

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role

  • 15+ years’ experience developing data solutions and at least 5+ years leading projects
  • Extensive experience in the financial industry with a strong business domain knowledge
  • Effective product management and problem solving skills, results-driven, comfortable with dealing with uncertainty
  • Experience with data governance, data architecture and data modeling
  • Experience in evaluating software, project estimation and planning
  • Extensive expertise in implementing Agile SDLC on large scale projects leveraging Jira, Confluence and other tools to increase the collaboration and productivity across the team
  • Work closely with the business & IT stake holders to manage delivery

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters or B.S. degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Ability to lead delivery, manage team members if required and provide feedback
  • Ability to make effective decisions and manage change
  • Communicates effectively in a professional manner both written and orally
  • Team player with a positive attitude enthusiasm initiative and self-motivation

Salary Range:

$120,000 - $195,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
