Position Overview


As the Technical Process Project Manager you will lead our planning, documentation, and rollout efforts for critical technology business initiatives. These initiatives will largely focus on technical departments of our company, including, but not limited to, IT, Security/Engineering, Cloud Ops, Support, Implementation, and Product. You will also work on change management initiatives directly relating to the customer use of Agiloft software. This individual contributor role reports to the Manager of Business Process Excellence and will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability of assigned initiatives. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing project plans to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization relating to technology and tools. You will be expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Management and Process Change Planning
  • Lead end-to end project management for critical business initiatives, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Develop and execute plans to enhance business processes, efficiency, and overall performance for critical technology initiatives.
  • Lead adoption for change management workflows, where directed by executives, or requested by individual department leadership
  • Extensively analyze the current state of our technology processes and drive discussions to ascertain the best possible future state given organizational constraints.
  • Create, implement, and iterate workflows with the goal of reaching that best possible future state.
  • Prepare the business for large changes relating to streamlined and organized technology workflows, including more standardized use of tools across the organization.
  • Establish best practices regarding assigned initiatives based on research into industry standards for similarly situated companies in terms of size and growth trajectory
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align technology process improvements with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Drive best practices for use of tools including Jira, Confluence, etc. to ensure that tech stack changes are clear and auditable.
  • Develop a high level of understanding of Agiloft’s organizational structure and Departmental responsibilities so that all necessary stakeholders are both able to provide input and remain informed of next steps.
  • Display leadership skills in navigating process improvements through to adoption, showing a high degree of diplomacy, patience, and empathy in written and verbal communications.
  • Assess projects and functions on risk exposure, impact, and threats and work with department heads and SMEs to creatively provide solutions to respond to business needs and address risk exposure
  • Manage the functionality of the Operations Resource Tracker while also identifying future process improvement opportunities and adding those opportunities to that Tracker.

  • Documentation Management
  • Working with the Senior Strategic Process Manager as necessary, write clear, concise documentation that can be easily understood by Agiloft personnel.
  • Ensure that all processes are well-documented, standardized, and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.

  • Process Execution
  • Lead critical technology process improvement projects and work cross-departmentally to ensure successful implementation
  • Facilitate change management efforts associated with process improvements, ensuring smooth transitions for all stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Develop strategic skills in order to back up the Senior Strategic Process Manager in order to allow maximum flexibility for your manager to assign projects based on team bandwidth.
  • Mentor more junior BPE team members while demonstrating how to lead with kindness.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical project management
  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability in technical process improvement
  • Proven experience Scrum Master, Incident Manager, Release Manager, or related roles where both extensive understanding of tools and technology and cross-departmental coordination was core to the role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Strong project management skills, including experience with process mapping and documentation tools.
  • Significant knowledge of: Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Atlassian software including Jira and Confluence, and project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Change management expertise, with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP Certification
  • Six Sigma Green belt or greater certification
  • MBA or other related advanced degree
