Direct Report: Technical Presales Engineer
Position Summary
Thales Cyber Solutions Belgium (TCS BE) is seeking a dynamic and motivated Technical Presales Engineer to strengthen our position in the Belgian and Dutch markets. Our rapid growth is attributed to our risk-based approach to cybersecurity. While our C-SOC services are a market driver, we are expanding our focus to include critical areas such as governance, managed technical services, intrusion detection, and application security.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Market Knowledge:
• Develop a deep understanding of the market landscape to comprehend client requirements and expectations.
• Familiarize yourself with the regulatory environment, including standards like NIS2 and DORA. Technical Advisory and Solution Development:
• Act as a technical advisor by actively listening to and understanding unique client needs.
• Synthesize market knowledge and company insights to provide technical advice and propose meaningful cybersecurity solutions.
• Transform these solutions into concrete commercial offers using Thales’s internal tools.
• Explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
Stakeholder Relationship Management:
• Cultivate positive relationships with vendors, partners, and local authorities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enhance Thales Cyber Solutions Belgium’s market position. • Work independently and effectively within a virtual team environment.
Security:
• Knowledge of company information security policies, privacy rules, and procedures.
• Ability to identify and report suspicious behavior, phishing, or social engineering attempts.
• Knowledge of security practices for managing sensitive and personal information.
Requirements
• Proven experience in either pre-sales or cybersecurity.
• Passion for IT; a technical background is considered a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to listen and present effectively in front of a client.
• Ability to respect deadlines.
• Effective handling of office tools.
Mandatory Languages:
• Dutch, French, and English: Professional working proficiency is required for all three languages.
