We are currently looking for a Technical Operations Specialist to help us in our mission.
🫀Key Responsibilities
Support the installation, configuration, validation, and deployment of Volta systems at customer sites
Provide remote and onsite technical support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Lead troubleshooting efforts for customer escalations and system performance concerns
Coordinate and support corrective actions, repairs, and equipment servicing activities
Identify, document, and escalate product complaints and quality issues to the Quality Assurance team in accordance with complaint handling procedures and regulatory requirements
Work with R&D team on complex issues investigation as needed
Work closely with physicians, EP lab staff, and hospital personnel to ensure a high-quality customer experience
Partner with R&D and Product teams to support deployment of new software releases and product improvements
Coordinate distribution of Volta systems to hospitals and customer sites
Manage the removal, return, and replacement of systems as needed
Coordinate domestic and international shipments of equipment and accessories
Maintain product traceability through accurate inventory and asset tracking in the ERP
Manage US inventory levels and field inventory availability
Support inventory audits and ensure inventory accuracy
Manage completion and collection of installation, maintenance, and RMA documentation
Support US field complaint intake, documentation, and coordination with Quality Assurance team
Maintain accurate and audit-ready service, inventory, and customer records
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and applicable regulatory requirements
Partner closely with Sales, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and R&D teams to support customer deployments, onboarding activities, and ongoing customer success.
Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, providing field feedback, supporting issue resolution, and helping drive continuous improvement of Volta products and processes.
Support complaint investigations, technical escalations, and corrective actions in collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Engineering teams.
Contribute to process improvements across field service, technical operations, logistics, inventory management, and customer support functions.
As Technical Operations Specialist, you will support the deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of Volta Medical's electrophysiology solutions across customer sites in the United States. With a strong focus on technical service, field support, logistics coordination, and customer satisfaction, you will help ensure consistent, high-quality support throughout the customer journey.
Working closely with Operations, Sales, Quality, and R&D teams, you will lead troubleshooting efforts, support installations and maintenance activities, manage key operational processes, and partner with physicians and EP lab staff to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This role combines hands-on field service responsibilities with technical operations, inventory and logistics management, software lifecycle activities, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-growing electrophysiology environment.

🫀Profile
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Healthcare Technology, Life Sciences, or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years of experience providing technical support, field service, and customer-facing support for cardiac medical device technologies in hospital environments, with preference for electrophysiology experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and resolving complex issues across electromechanical, software-controlled, and PC-based systems.
Experience working directly with physicians, EP lab staff, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
Experience coordinating customer deployments, equipment logistics, or inventory management is preferred.
Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 13485, FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR/QMSR), and applicable medical device regulatory requirements.
Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field.
Strong understanding of electronic systems and healthcare technology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
Ability to build strong relationships with physicians, clinicians, hospital stakeholders, and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to balance field service responsibilities with operational and administrative requirements.
Understanding of inventory control, asset traceability, and logistics processes is preferred. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with minimal supervision.

This is a hybrid role based on the East Coast with approximately 35-50% travel, including occasional international travel as needed.
