JOB PURPOSE:
Within global McCain Technical Operations Team, the Process Engineer execute CE Tech Ops strategy to drive and sustain manufacturing optimization (Safety, Quality, Cost), support Growth and transform operations to be future ready, while managing a team to develop technical expertise and leadership. The Process Engineer works closely with CE Potato Plants and Engineering department, to apply the leadership principles and the deployment of Tech Ops strategy and ensure the application of initiatives and best practices. The Process Engineer is focused on Capital project in Potato.

Reports to: Technical Operations Potato Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    1. Team Management & Technical Expertise Development:
      1. Lead the technical operations project team with precision and adherence to process standards
      2. Actively engage in continuous skill development, leveraging training opportunities for enhanced technical expertise
      3. Actively deployed technical training document (MDI) to rebuild manufacturing capabilities


    1. Execution of Strategy and Priorities:
      1. Execute operational tasks in alignment with the strategic direction
      2. Implement operational initiatives according to set priorities, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery


    1. Project Management:
      1. Manage the end-to-end execution of technical projects within established timelines and budgets
      2. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery to success outcomes


    1. Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:
      1. Proactively identify and address operational challenges within the technical operations scope
      2. Implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance


    1. Best Practices Adherence:
      1. Ensure strict adherence and sustain standards for operational excellence, quality and safety
      2. Continuously evaluate (BOP audit, line diagnostic, ECC) to align with McCain standards


WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • +3 to 5 years of experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering
  • Experience: Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, R&D, Technical Operations, Process technology, Data Analytics, Data Integration, Programing, Packaging


Other Competency Requirements:

  • Critical technical skills:
    • Strong technical aptitude, mechanical/electrical engineering, and/or plant automation
    • Processing line equipment and processes


  • Behavior competencies:
    • English. French and Dutch is related to the country based
    • Autonomous, agile, accountable, data driving, problem-solving
    • Principles of how to train people


  • Business competencies:
    • Project management & presentation
    • Lean manufacturing or six sigma
    • Strong computer skills • Statistical analysis
