Job Description

We are constantly growing and are currently looking for Technical Office Engineer (Mechanical) to join a top qualified and knowledgeable team in our Regional Office in New Cairo, Egypt.

What you will need to do:

  • Conduct site surveys and provide detailed reports based on survey findings.
  • Perform quantity surveying for all mechanical equipment and materials related to HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Prepare the scope of work for all mechanical disciplines, including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.
  • Prepare cost estimations for the project, covering labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions for the tender stage and awarded projects, based on project design requirements and quantity take-offs for mechanical materials, systems, and equipment.
  • Prepare material submittals in line with project specifications, ensure full compliance with specifications, and obtain consultant approval.
  • Develop detailed shop drawings in coordination with all relevant disciplines.
  • Perform all necessary mechanical calculations for the mechanical systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of international standards and codes (such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, IPC,
  • NPC, ASPE, etc.).
  • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure that material delivery schedules align with the project
  • timeline.
  • Provide technical support to the site team for any site-related issues

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 4–6 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience in at least two completed projects of similar scope and complexity (international project experience is highly preferred).
  • Good knowledge of HVAC systems, firefighting systems, and water & sewage networks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4-6 years of experience in a similar role.
