Responsibilities / Tasks
The position will be part of the Technical Offer Management team and will report directly to the Director of Technical Offer Management and Sales Process Excellence.
The team is responsible for the technical preparation of commercial offers for the Bakery Business Unit. The role includes a mix of technical, analytical, and coordination activities with internal functions, with an increasing level of autonomy over time.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Sales Area Managers of the Bakery BU to define the best technical solution in response to customer needs.
- Define standard technical solutions covering the entire GEA Bakery application portfolio.
- Work closely with the technical department to ensure alignment on standard solutions.
- Support the Application Managers in proposing the most suitable technical solution, consistent with the GEA Bakery portfolio and customer requirements.
- Be proactive in proposing standard technical solutions to customers and internal stakeholders (sales, technical, project management).
- Ensure consistency between the proposed technical solution and the final solution of the sold project before the pre‑commissioning phase.
- Prepare preliminary technical drawings (AutoCAD 2D, Inventor 3D).
- Contribute to cost estimation and budgeting of technical offers.
- Collaborate with the team in preparing technical offer documentation.
Work Locations
- Primary location: Colognola ai Colli (VR)
- Collaboration with: Torrebelvicino (VI)
The person will work across both sites and may be required to travel occasionally between the two facilities.
Your Profile / Qualifications
- Technical diploma.
- 2–5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Experience in industrial B2B environments is essential.
- Strongly preferred background in plant engineering.
- Experience in preparing technical offers and defining mechanical solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of technical drawing and mechanical technologies.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D.
- Ability to handle complex technical challenges.
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Good knowledge of English.
- Analytical and precise approach, oriented toward OTIF (On Time In Full) delivery.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proactive in gathering information from Sales Area Managers and proposing technical solutions.
- Results‑oriented, flexible, and dynamic.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
Bonus points if you have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred.
- Background in the bakery/food processing sector considered a strong plus.
- Knowledge of SAP.
- Basic finance knowledge (costing, budgeting) highly appreciated.
