Position: Technical Marketing Engineer/Specialist

Your Role:

The Technical Marketing Engineer role is focused on maintaining and developing technical knowledge of Alleima tubular products and their applications. Technical marketing involves producing technical content in the form of webinars, journal articles, white papers, and conference presentations to promote Alleima products to our customers. This position is a link between R&D, Marketing, Sales, and corrosion/process experts in our customer's organizations. This role reports to Technical Marketing Manager withing Sales Unit India. Your base location shall be Pune (flexible).

Your main task and responsibilities include:

Technical discussions with customer’s corrosion engineers to understand their corrosion problems, analyse corrosion risks based on service conditions and recommend suitable materials. Actively search and develop new applications, establish knowledge, and value arguments

To actively promote the current range of grades & products, together with the introduction of new products to market. You shall become an active representative and presenter for important conferences related to our tubes to promote Alleima, write technical articles for conferences and journals

Maintain and develop the relationship with technical teams at key customers with the support from Sales

About You

We are looking for someone holds a bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Materials Engineering. You should have practical knowledge of wet corrosion and high temperature corrosion, including corrosion mechanisms, corrosion tests and failure modes in different industry applications.

You have minimum 3+ years experience of working with corrosion. Knowledge and experience of specific segments like Refinery, Fertilizers, Chemicals and Steel is an advantage. Understanding of standards like ASTM, API, ASME etc is an added advantage

You have excellent communication skills to effectively present technical information to customers, their top management, audience at technical conferences, and to Alleima international colleagues. Available for frequent travels, able to work well under pressure and challenges.

As a person you are self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, positive and result oriented attitude. A team player, who has good communication skills and stakeholder management skills. You have excellent English language skills and enjoy working with multicultural partners.
