Our client is seeking a Technical Manager responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, fleet coordination, and technical service functions within the three-wheeler business. The role ensures efficient stock management, smooth vehicle movement, accurate reporting, and high-quality technical service delivery, while maintaining operational excellence and supervising teams across all functions.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee incoming and outgoing stock operations
- Verify stock accuracy and maintain proper inventory records
- Ensure efficient space utilization within the warehouse
- Manage tools and equipment within the warehouse
- Open and close warehouse operations daily
- Monitor pending deliveries and ensure timely dispatch
- Track vehicles through GPS systems
- Oversee repossessed vehicle handling and tracking
- Monitor vehicle insurance status and compliance
- Maintain and update operational reports and Excel records
- Prepare upcountry stock reports
- Conduct reconciliations with the Finance department
- Manage cash handling and tracking
- Perform cost analysis to support operational efficiency
- Oversee Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) processes
- Ensure proper servicing standards for three-wheelers
- Train and supervise mechanics
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support
- Ensure strong knowledge and application of diesel engine systems
- Manage warehouse and service teams effectively
- Ensure staff responsiveness and accountability
- Coordinate work schedules, including availability on off days when required
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the team
- Ensure security teams verify all stock movements and activities
- Maintain operational discipline and adherence to company procedures
- Ensure all processes meet internal control standards
- Communicate effectively in English and Swahili
- Coordinate with internal departments for smooth operations
- Travel within Tanzania and internationally when required
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the three-wheeler service industry
- Strong technical expertise in diesel engines and vehicle servicing
- Proven experience in warehouse and inventory management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Good communication skills in English and Swahili
- Ability to manage multiple operational areas simultaneously
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally
- Strong understanding of fleet operations and service coordination
