Technical Manager

In this role, you will have overall responsibility for safeguarding the technical integrity of our management system certification activities and for ensuring that our accreditations, regulatory requirements and business licences are maintained. You will play a central role in our Swedish organization, working closely with auditors, resource managers, Program Managers, technical reviewers and colleagues across DNV. 
The role calls for a structured, proactive and pragmatic approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and effective ways of working without unnecessary administration. It is also an opportunity to shape the Swedish Technical function and influence how technical and accreditation requirements are applied in practice.
The position reports to the Operations Manager for Business Assurance Sweden.

The main areas of responsibility are:

• Safeguarding the technical integrity of certification processes and maintaining relevant accreditations, notifications and business licences.
• Acting as Management Representative and main contact for Swedac and other accreditation bodies.
• Leading the Technical Review process and ensuring effective feedback to auditors.
• Developing auditor, Lead Auditor and Technical Reviewer competence in collaboration with resource managers and Program Managers.
• Planning and following up auditor monitoring activities.
• Coordinating internal audits, management reviews, certification committee activities, calibrations and follow-up of findings.
• Ensuring local implementation of changes to standards, accreditation requirements and DNV management system requirements.
• Preparing applications for new accreditations and supporting the related assessment processes.
• Initiating improvement actions based on customer feedback, attrition, audits and other relevant performance information.
• Combining the Technical Manager responsibilities with an agreed level of chargeable work, such as audits or courses.

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Qualified third-party Lead Auditor experience.
• Strong knowledge of management system certification, accreditation requirements and BA processes.
• Ability to turn standards and regulatory requirements into practical ways of working.
• Experience developing auditor and specialist competence.
• Good digital understanding, including NGPS, Power BI and relevant operational systems.
• Proactive, structured and pragmatic, with the ability to plan ahead and set priorities.
• Able to take ownership and make well-founded decisions while maintaining technical integrity and independence.
• Collaborative, trusted and motivated by quality, continuous improvement and the development of others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English.
