DRS RADA is a global leader in advanced radar solutions for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Manager to join our growing team.
In this role, you will serve as a key technical leader, working closely with customers and internal teams to shape, develop, and deliver innovative solutions that address complex operational needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who enjoys combining technical depth, customer engagement, and strategic impact in a dynamic defense environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand operational needs and technical requirements.
- Translate customer needs into tailored, practical, and effective solution concepts.
- Lead technical pre-sales activities, including preparation of proposals, customer responses, and product demonstrations.
- Support the Business Development team with technical guidance, insights, and recommendations.
- Identify, assess, and manage technical risks and opportunities across projects.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic positioning and future capability development.
- Define requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products in collaboration with engineering and development teams.
- Lead system integration and deployment activities, including installation, user acceptance testing, and evaluation.
- Maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, interface documents, manuals, and training materials.
- Work closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams to support efficient execution throughout the project lifecycle
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Previous experience in the defense industry – an advantage.
- Strong technical background.
- RF/Radar knowledge – an advantage.
- Technical and operational experience.
- Strong customer orientation.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to travel within Israel to support tests, production, and other activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English.
