Job Description
As Technical Leader (TL), you will support the architectural designs and execution of goals for their team. You value simplicity, diversity of thought and are unafraid to challenge the status quo. You'll manage all team members to create a modular, scalable solution that addresses/incorporates future architectural changes and designs. You will guide the teams engineering practices in test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment. You are a hands-on people manager who coaches their team and removes roadblocks for the team to be successful.
The CDM/CDL Technical Leader leads the technical vision, design, and execution of data modeling, integration, and platform projects. They bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation, ensuring that data systems are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with organizational strategy
You will report to the Director, Digital Data & Infrastructure and work in a hybrid environment from either our Mayfield Heights, Ohio or Milwaukee, Wisconsin locations.
Your Responsibilities:
- In partnership with technical subject matter experts, you will lead the team accountable for the design and technological architecture of the product
- Guide project teams on technology strategy related to coding practices, continuous integration and automated deployment
- Manage the technical design of the product and make architecture decisions at a team and product level
- Coach the technical team, be a hands-on, working leader who engages to help the team to develop solution and solve all surfacing problems at hand
- Identify and remove technical impediments
- Work with Product Owner(s) to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
- Be an advisor with the Product owner(s) in story creation and acceptance criteria, and communicate tradeoffs with Designers
- Always look for better ways of solving technical problems and designing the solution, not afraid of challenging the status quo
- Provide the team a roadmap for implementing software engineering practices for higher code quality
- Share responsibility with Product Owner(s) and Data Owner(s) for building reusable and scalable components
- Develop budget and monitor expenditures and monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels
- Research and implement technological strategic solutions
- Seek out and embrace relevant perspectives when assessing a situation or a decision; demonstrate clear understanding of multiple viewpoints
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience

- Occasional international travel required.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires 5 years of management experience.
- Knowledge of CDM/CDL principles, data modeling, and integration technologies; proficiency in relevant programming languages
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience in software development, data modeling, or related technical roles, with leadership experience
- Degree in CS, MIS, Software Engineering, or equivalent engineering/technical discipline
- Familiar with Cloud/DevOps environments including Azure DevOps
- Experience in Agile Development, with SAFe experience
- Understand relationship with Product Owner, Design Lead and rest of technical team
- Experience managing technical priorities within the Backlog
