Job Summary:
We’re seeking someone to join our Finance Operations & Risk Tech team as a Technical Leader, in Risk Technology with deep expertise in Generative AI technologies, including vector embeddings, LangGraph, agentic frameworks, and modern AI-driven architecture patterns.
In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Software Engineering Leadership position within Risk Technology/ISG Cross Divisional Governance tams at the Executive Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.
Risk Technology's ISG Cross Divisional Governance (CDG) team delivers strategic technology platforms that support critical Institutional Securities risk management and governance functions, including Model Control, Trader Mandate Management, Booking Model Governance, Marking Review & Controls, and ISG Limits Management. The team partners closely with business, risk, and control functions to enhance governance, regulatory compliance, and operational effectiveness. This Executive Director role will provide technology leadership, drive platform modernisation, and deliver innovative, scalable solutions supporting the Firm's risk and control framework.

What You'll Do in the Role:
- Provide functional delivery leadership for the Trader Mandate & Booking Model (TMBM) platform, with end-to-end accountability for execution, delivery, governance, and stakeholder management.
- Define and drive the target-state architecture across the ISG Cross Division Governance portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business and technology objectives.
- Lead modernization initiatives leveraging Generative AI technologies, including vector embeddings, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LangGraph, agentic frameworks, and AI-driven workflow orchestration.
- Partner closely with senior business, risk, and technology stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable and resilient technology solutions.
- Drive architectural decision-making across multiple strategic programs, establishing engineering standards, best practices, and long-term technology roadmaps.
- Provide leadership across a large organization of technologists, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the Head of Model Risk Management and senior ISG Technology leaders to advance AI-enabled capabilities across model governance and lifecycle management processes.
- Champion platform scalability, operational resilience, governance, controls, and regulatory compliance across all supported applications.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- 15+ years of experience leading large-scale technology organizations within Financial Services, Capital Markets, Risk Technology, or Front Office Technology environments.
- Deep expertise in modern software architecture, distributed systems, cloud-native technologies, and enterprise application modernization.
- Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI technologies, including Large Language Models (LLMs), vector embeddings, vector databases, RAG architectures, LangGraph, and agentic AI frameworks.
- Proven track record of defining and executing architecture strategy while delivering complex, multi-year transformation programs.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior business and technology stakeholders, driving alignment across global organizations.
- Strong leadership experience managing and developing high-performing engineering teams and technology leaders.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments with a strong understanding of governance, controls, risk management, and operational resilience.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technology strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced qualifications are a plus.
