Job Description:
An Engineering Tech Lead is primarily responsible for providing technical guidance and leadership within a specific team or project. They possess deep technical expertise and work closely with the team members, offering guidance, making technical decisions and ensuring the successful implementation of projects.

What you'll do:
- Drives strong Agile delivery practices, with a focus on lean and systems thinking.
- Drives day to day development and work with other engineering members to deliver software as per requirements.
- Work with 2-3 engineers to design and propose architecture as per requirements.
- Works with the Product team to understand and analyze business requirements to design and implement technical solutions
- Work with engineering teams to identify key results and standard methodologies where Pluralsight's products can play an important role and move the needle on all fronts.
Experience you'll bring:
- Experience in eCommerce, Retail domain.
- Experience in Martech.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
- Expertise in NodeJS, TypeScript, ReactJS.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures and algorithms.
- Extensive experience designing and developing APIs (REST, GraphQL and integrating with third-party APIs.
- In-depth knowledge of microservice architecture and experience in designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with database technologies, both relational (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Experience working collaboratively with Agile or Kanban development teams.
Travel Requirements:
While Pluralsight operates under a remote and hybrid work model, we believe that in-person connection and collaboration are important. Recurring travel to our HQ in Utah may be required depending on the role and team member location.
