Job Summary:
The Technical Lead, Enterprise Quality Engineering is critical in driving the transformation of our quality practices from traditional Quality Assurance (QA) to a more integrated Quality Engineering (QE) approach. They are responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive quality engineering performance testing strategy aligned with the organization’s goals and healthcare regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence
- Drive the adoption of best practices in quality engineering, ensuring a shift-left approach to integrate quality early in the development process
- Participate in the design, development, and execution of automated test frameworks, test scripts, and the integration into DevOps
- Implement and manage continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate quality checks and accelerate delivery
- Participate in the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive test automation strategies that includes unit tests, integration tests, functional tests, end-to-end tests, performance tests, and security tests
- Ensure all quality engineering activities comply with relevant healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and other industry-specific requirements
- Stay updated on changes in healthcare regulations and incorporate these changes into quality engineering practices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to ensure quality is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle
- Communicate quality engineering goals, metrics, and outcomes to stakeholders and executive leadership
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of quality engineering practices
- Implement metrics and KPIs to measure the success of quality engineering initiatives and drive continuous improvement
- Foster a culture of feedback and learning within the team to ensure ongoing development and skill enhancement
- Identify and assess potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Evaluate, select, and implement tools and technologies to support quality engineering activities
- Ensure the team is proficient in using these tools and stays current with industry advancements
- Define and implement test environments, ensuring they closely mimic production environments to identify issues early in the development process
- Encourage and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation in quality engineering practices
- Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, a related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
- Seven (7) years of experience in quality engineering, release management, DevOps, and/or quality engineering tools with a strong background in the healthcare payor industry
- Three (3) years of IT Lead experience is required
- Experience with Agile methodologies and practices

- Strong knowledge of outsourcing and staff augmentation strategies
- Knowledge of the managed care industry is preferred
- Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Experience in at least one of the following product areas: Provider, Claims, Clinical, Encounters, Financial Systems, Customer Service Systems, or EDI.
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Occasional travel is required
Compensation Range:
$90,500.00 - $158,400.00
