Valeo is a tech global company, designing breakthrough solutions to reinvent the mobility. We are an automotive supplier partner to automakers and new mobility actors worldwide. Our vision? Invent a greener and more secured mobility, thanks to solutions focusing on intuitive driving and reducing CO2 emissions. We are leader on our businesses, and recognized as one of the largest global innovative companies.

Responsibilities

Pure Architecture & Low-Level Design (LLD)
  • Layered Microservices Design: Architect and evolve highly scalable, decoupled, and layered microservices architectures using Java ecosystem standards.

  • Database & Framework Architecture: Design robust, high-performance database schemas (SQL/NoSQL). Establish standard, language-agnostic foundational frameworks to streamline development across disparate teams.

  • Low-Level Design (LLD): Translate high-level business requirements into clean, maintainable low-level technical designs, class diagrams, and execution blueprints.

2. Engineering Excellence & CI/CD
  • Automated Code Governance: Set up automated tool-based code review workflows (e.g., SonarQube) to maintain high code quality and consistency.

  • Testing & CI/CD Pipelines: Enforce comprehensive Unit Testing cultures and design/optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless delivery.

  • Deprecation Management: Establish automated notification systems for language, library, and framework deprecations to proactively mitigate technical debt.

3. Non-Functional Testing (NFT) & Security
  • Security & Compliance: Drive vulnerability management and license compliance, ensuring software/language deprecations and security flaws are proactively caught using tools like Black Duck.

  • Standardized Exception Handling: Define and implement enterprise-grade, generic exception-handling frameworks across platforms to ensure system resilience and consistent error tracking.

  • Observability: Architect platform-specific monitoring, logging, and control mechanisms (APM tools) to ensure proactive system health checks and alerting.

4. Product, AI Innovation & Communication
  • AI Integration: Lead the design and implementation of next-generation intelligent features leveraging Google Gemini AI models.

  • Product Impact Documentation: Author comprehensive impact analysis documentation, detailing how architectural changes affect product scaling, user experience, and business goals.

  • Enablement: Deliver high-quality user manuals, technical write-ups, and training materials for cross-functional engineering and product teams.

  • Hierarchy-Busting Communication: Act as a proactive communication catalyst. Identify system and process pain points and ensure they are escalated directly to the right decision-makers, deliberately overcoming restrictive or siloed hierarchical structures.

Experience / knowledge

7+ years of experience in the software industry with a full stack developer role.

  • Core Development: Strong expertise in Full-Stack Java development (Spring Boot, Hibernate, modern frontend frameworks).

  • Cloud Ecosystems: Hands-on experience architecting and deploying solutions on major cloud providers, specifically AWS and GCP.

  • Security Tools: Direct experience managing dependencies, licenses, and security risks via Black Duck or similar SCA tools.

  • AI/ML: Proven familiarity or practical experience integrating Gemini AI APIs or equivalent LLM frameworks into enterprise applications.

  • CI/CD & DevOps: Proficiency with modern DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Database Design: Advanced knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB, DynamoDB) database architecture.

  • Technical Growth Mindset: Proven ability to mentor developers, elevate engineering standards, and act as a technical growth catalyst.

  • Strategic Communication: Bold, transparent communication style with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures to solve technical and product stalemates.

  • Product Empathy: Ability to look at a system through the user’s lens, ensuring technical decisions align cleanly with product utility.
