The Technical Lead provides technical leadership in the design, development, and delivery of enterprise AI solutions for leading organisations across banking, healthcare, and other industries.
Lead a team of software engineers and data scientists while remaining actively involved in software architecture, solution design, and hands-on development. Working closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and customers, you will ensure our solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and delivered to the highest engineering standards.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role suited for someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering excellence- Lead the technical design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise AI solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software engineers and data scientists.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.
- Review solution designs, architecture, and code to ensure quality, maintainability, and security.
- Establish engineering standards, development best practices, and coding guidelines.
- Drive technical decision-making throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, Product Owners, and stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and project delivery plans.
- Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Support production deployments, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to our products, platforms, and engineering practices
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
- Minimum 2 years leading technical teams or serving as a technical lead on software projects.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js.
- Experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system integration, and scalable application design.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker, containerisation, and modern development workflows.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical delivery.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable.
