Job Summary:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our team, focusing on the Document Ingestion Process related to policy submissions. In this role, you will analyse data from multiple sources to extract meaningful insights, support the Product Owner in implementing enhancements, and document requirements in Jira. The ideal candidate will possess robust analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to convey findings effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis:
- Analyse policy submission documents to identify patterns and insights that can enhance straight-through processing (STP).
- Use statistical methods and data visualization tools to present findings in a clear, impactful manner.
- Support Product Development:
- Work closely with the Product Owner to ascertain enhancement requirements and translate them into data-driven recommendations.
- Contribute to product discovery and validation processes by providing actionable insights based on thorough data analysis.
- Requirements Documentation:
- Write clear, concise, and comprehensive user stories and requirements in Jira to ensure alignment with stakeholder needs and overall product vision.
- Maintain documentation standards that facilitate readability and comprehension for all stakeholders.
- Collaboration:
- Partner with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to foster data-driven decision-making.
- Actively participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies to enhance team dynamics and workflow.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of implemented changes, adjusting based on data-driven feedback to ensure continuous enhancement of processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Overall relevant work experience of 10 to 15 years.
- Experience and Knowledge in working with P& C Insurance
- Well versed in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Office tools , etc.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably in a technology or product-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages, such as SQL or Python.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) to effectively communicate insights and findings.
- Familiarity with Jira or other project management software for efficient writing of requirements and tracking progress.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Able to determine and expertly communicate impacts of system functionality and technical approach on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
