Position Overview:
This role is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications and backend services. It also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to architecture decisions, troubleshooting production issues, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards, best practices, and productivity improvements through AI tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications.
- Build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services.
- Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support production systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, coding best practices, and security guidelines.
- Lead and manage engineering teams, ensuring alignment with business goals.

- Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and integration patterns.
- Drive API lifecycle management, including versioning, documentation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience with relational databases and NoSQL, and event streaming platforms like Kafka.
- Experience in building Cloud Native applications and platforms, preferably on platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Familiarity with version control, CI/CD, and agile development practices.
- Expertise in AI frameworks (e.g., Anthropic Claude, LangChain, etc) to architect, automate, and optimize the end-to-end Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Experience of managing teams is a plus
