Ko wai mātou | About us

"Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini" - Success is not the work of an individual, but the work of many

Ko tā Contact e whakapono nei, ko te taiao tonu te taonga nui katoa o te ao.

Koinei mātou e whai atu nei kia mahue atu i a mātou tētahi ao hauora ake, tēnā i te ora i kuhu ai mātou.

He pakihi whakarato hiko, ipurangi mātou, engari arā kē atu anō ā mātou taha.

Kei te whakawhanake mātou i ā mātou mahi ake, i ngā ara hoki e whai hiko ai a Aotearoa, kei te kōkiri kia tukua te hiko tukurua, ā, kei te whakaputa i tētahi wheako matihiko mō ā mātou kiritaki kāore anō kia kitea i tēnei whenua.

He tīma kotahi mano mātou nō ngā hau e whā, e ngākau nui ana ki ā mātou mahi, e aroha ana tētahi ki tētahi, e ako ngātahi ana, e whakapono tahi ana ki ā mātou tikanga ārahi: mā te manaaki kia toa, ka mana te katoa.

At Contact, we believe home is the most important place in the world. It's all part of our vision to leave Aotearoa better than we found it. We’re a power, mobile, and broadband company, but we’re so much more than that. We are transforming the ways we mahi, and how Aotearoa is powered, leading the charge on renewable energy and digitising customer journeys in ways not yet seen here. A team of 1000+ from all walks of life who love what we do, look out for each other, and learn from one another every day, we’re stoked to be guided by our tikanga: we touch lives to make life better.

Within central Otago, Contact operates the Clutha hydro scheme, including the Lake Hawea dam control structure, the Roxburgh dam and power station, and the Clyde dam and power station. Our Hydro team have a number of projects planned and underway to ensure we can generate electricity that meets our sustainability, safety and financial goals.

Job Description

Due to an internal promotion we're looking for a new Technical Coordinator who will help coordinate key technical activities alongside the Engineering and Project delivery teams. Your knack for prioritising and leveraging our centralised support team will enhance process efficiency, making a tangible impact on our operations. You’ll be the go-to person for the Engineering and Project Delivery teams, assisting with technical and project-related documentation, and supporting the monthly finance reconciliation process, including project forecasting and purchase order tracking.

In this dynamic role, you’ll also manage a variety of technical administration processes, from Management of Change (MOC) to Engineering Advice Notices (EANs) and Equipment Limitation Notices (ELNs). Your organisational skills will shine as you coordinate monthly engineering meetings, generate plant identification systems, and maintain our hydro library and plant databases.

If that sounds like a foreign language to you, we can help with that. What is important to us is that you’re passionate about delivering high, consistent levels of customer service to key stakeholders and thrive in a collaborative environment. If that's you, then join us and be a part of a team that’s driving innovation and excellence in hydro generation.

Qualifications

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile individual to join our team, someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and brings a broad set of skills and experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of computer literacy and demonstrate strong technical writing abilities, including the creation of functional descriptions and project documentation. Key to this role is the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, showcasing strengths in influencing, conflict management, and negotiation. Above all, we value integrity and high personal and professional standards. If you are a proactive problem-solver with a passion for continuous learning and growth, we encourage you to apply.
