About the Role:
We're looking for a Technical Writer to create and maintain clear, accurate documentation across our platforms, integrations, and internal processes. You'll work closely with engineering, product, and technical account management teams to translate complex technical concepts into accessible documentation for both internal and external audiences.
What You'll Do:
- Write, edit, and maintain platform documentation, including user guides, API references, and release notes
- Document third-party and internal integrations, including setup guides, configuration steps, and troubleshooting resources
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for technical account management workflows
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and account managers to gather technical information and ensure documentation accuracy
- Organize and structure documentation for easy navigation and searchability (e.g., knowledge bases, wikis, help centers)
- Review and update existing documentation to reflect product changes, new features, and deprecated functionality
- Establish and maintain style guides and documentation standards to ensure consistency across all materials
- Gather feedback from internal teams and customers to identify documentation gaps and improve usability
- Support onboarding materials for new customers and internal team members
Requirements
Must have:
- 2–5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a SaaS, software, or technology environment
- Demonstrated experience documenting software platforms and third-party/API integrations
- Experience creating SOPs, playbooks, or process documentation, ideally for account management or customer-facing teams
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail; fluency in English required
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content
- Familiarity with documentation tools (e.g., Confluence, Notion, GitBook, MadCap Flare, or similar)
- Basic understanding of APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Comfort working cross-functionally with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams — including collaboration across time zones with global teams
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple documentation projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
Night Shift : 6:30 PM to 3:30 PM IST
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with Property Technology (PropTech), RUBS (Ratio Utility Billing System), or utility billing processes
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for documentation workflows
- Familiarity with Markdown, HTML, or static site generators
- Prior experience supporting a Technical Account Management (TAM) or Customer Success team
