The Technical Consultant provides consultancy and technical advice to the Customers.
He/She defines and delivers card product specification based on Customer requirements. And he/she will need to drive the overall project progress and to manage internal/external Customers.
Position within Organisation :
Technical Consultant is the major technical bridge with customer to understand the customer requirement, then convert it into Thales internal specification which will be provided to technical team for further development or the production team for the production and delivery.
Technical Consultant will also work very close with sales and marketing team as the business partners for the business achievements.
Missions and Responsibilities :
As a Technical Consultant, you are accountable for:
- Provide pre-Sales support, as a complement to the Sales process, including the analysis of the customer requests, in terms of Cards and Solutions
- Understand the customer technical organization
- Provide Thales CDI with market knowledge and competition
- Act actively to understand the Customer’s technical needs and to identify the possible solutions, based on Thales CDI current product map.
- Inside the context of his accounts management, the TC is in charge to define the Requirements Specifications for the Customers assigned to him/her
- May be the technical interface for the Customers
- May be in charge of the project management for the card product or FPER(Full Perso)
- May be in charge of the project implementation of solutions (D1 Physical, D1 Digital etc.)
Qualifications:
- Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science/Electronics/Engineering
- Experience on project management is a strong plus, PMP or related certification is preferred
- Experience in a relevant field (preferably Smartcard, Embedded Software or Services provider background, Telecom or banking industry area) or equivalent experience within Thales
- The knowledge on smart card related is a strong plus
- Understand EMV spec or related specs is preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Customer and business oriented
- Organized, rigorous and autonomous
- Work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Be tenacious in problem solving
- Good teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Be prepared to invest whatever effort is required to get the job done
