This role will focus on technical implementation of BLUE YONDER products from designing system architecture and data requirements, developing and testing designed solution and go-live support under supervision of Senior Technical Consultant or Technical Architect in Japan.
Blue Yonder Japan is currently seeking Technical Consultants for any of for any of Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Management, and Transportation Management.
What you’ll do:
Support implementing BLUE YONDER solutions by understanding how the solutions can be configured and developed to better facilitate customer business processes, ensuring ability to design, execute, and deliver.
- Technical Design
- Understand functional design and specifications, prepared by BY’s Functional Team
- Support developing technical design and specification, covering system architecture, system and data integration, and batch architecture, reports in detail
- Development and Test
- Work with BY’s Cloud Operations team for establishing Blue Yonder environments
- Develop designed solution in accordance with prepared technical specifications, prepared by senior technical consultants, with understanding of BLUE YONDER product features
- Develop and execute system test scripts to ensure BLUE YONDER software consistently meets the technical design and objectives
- Troubleshoot any technical issues and bugs
- Manage technical actions and issues in spreadsheets and facilitate all other members to closure
- Validate data provided by customer to meet BY’s data requirements
- Manage data integration and batch execution during system testing and UAT
- Cutover and Post Golive Stabilization
- Ensures knowledge transfer is conducted to BY’s Support and Cloud Operations teams and validate transition checklist for handing over technical operation
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working in Supply Chain business
- Understanding of Planning Solution, Logistics, Warehouse Management and Transportation Management domains
- Conceptual knowledge of any functionalities in S&OP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Factory Planning, Logistics, Warehouse Management or Transportation Management experience is highly advantageous
- Project implementation experiences in Supply Chain domain (preferred)
- Understanding how Blue Yonder systems integrate with other systems like ERP systems etc.
- Technical Expertise
- Background in Technical Support of enterprise applications or Development experience.
- Working knowledge on Windows, UNIX (Solaris, HP and AIX) OS
- Working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and DB2 UDB experience is a plus. Reading/writing SQL and PL/SQL in Oracle, working with database tools like TOAD.
- Communication
- Verbal, written and interpersonal skills required in Japanese
- Verbal and writing English skills needed mainly for internal communication with BY members outside Japan
Learning opportunities
- If the candidate has less experience in supply chain domain or of project implementation, BY will provide product training for better understanding and shadowing actual implementation activities in real projects
