Our Client
We are working with a leading South African auctioneering business that built their position in the market through deep expertise, authentic relationships, and an uncompromising standard of service. As the business scales, it is building the operational infrastructure to match its ambition, and this role is central to that journey.
This role sits at the intersection of three disciplines: Business Analysis, Technical Configuration and Optimisation, and Data Management. It is not a role that belongs neatly in one box, and that is intentional.
This role spans business analysis, technical configuration and optimisation, and data engineering. In practice, this means:
Business Analysis
Owning the continuous, end-to-end audit, documentation, and optimisation of operational processes across the business
Designing and facilitating process improvement workshops with internal stakeholders, creating shared understanding from which change can be implemented
Managing key relationships across the executive team, operational staff, technology partners, and third-party suppliers
Technical Configuration & Optimisation
Evaluating, recommending, and configuring low-code and no-code digital tools to automate manual workflows
Driving change management and adoption so the team understands the why before the how
Ensuring operational standards and execution quality are consistently elevated, creating a client experience that reflects the business at its best
Data Management
Building dashboards and reporting structures that give leadership real-time operational visibility
Tracking the cost impact of improvement initiatives and contributing to total cost of ownership thinking
Managing and structuring the organisation's growing data infrastructure so that operational activity translates into decisions, not just records
Requirements
1. Process leadership. You can lead a process mapping workshop from facilitation through to documentation. You understand how to identify improvement opportunities based on impact, frequency, and automation potential, and you know how to embed change sustainably.
2. Technical configuration and optimisation. You are comfortable configuring digital tools without needing a developer. You have a track record of automation in an operational context and can evaluate tools critically against a business need.
3. Data thinking. You can work with structured data to generate insight. Experience with BI tools or dashboard platforms is a strong advantage. You are building towards owning the data strategy for an operational function.
4. Stakeholder engagement. You have managed relationships with senior stakeholders and can balance competing priorities without losing trust on either side.
Background / Experience Requirements
4+ years in a role that combined operational management with process improvement and digital tool implementation
You have held real operational responsibility and understand how a business runs day to day, where the leverage points are, and how to lead a team through change
A relevant degree is preferable. Project management experience is required
