We care deeply about our customers and the communities we serve. #OneTeamOneDream. Chalo, let’s go!

What Are We Looking For?

At Contentstack, developers, technical decision-makers, and technical leads are at the core of our audience. As a Technical Audience Marketer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we engage and resonate with this critical segment. Your mission will be to deeply understand technical audiences, including developers, architects, and IT leaders, and translate those insights into marketing strategies that drive engagement and adoption across both prospects and existing customers.

This role is ideal for someone with a technical mindset and a passion for creating impactful marketing strategies that speak directly to developers and other technical stakeholders. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Developer Relations, and Sales, to align our marketing efforts with the preferences and pain points of technical users.

Success in this role means crafting campaigns that build trust with technical audiences, encourage adoption, and showcase the value of Contentstack’s composable digital experience platform. If you’re a data-driven marketer with an understanding of technical audiences and the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies, this is the perfect role for you! Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify and define segments within technical audiences, including developers, architects, and technical decision-makers.
  • Gather and analyze data on technical behaviors, preferences, pain points, and decision-making processes.
  • Stay informed about trends in enterprise architecture and technology including developer tools, APIs, headless CMS, and composable technology to refine targeting.
  • Create detailed technical personas that reflect the unique needs and goals of developers, architects, and IT professionals.
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Developer Relations teams to ensure personas are aligned with product capabilities and audience expectations.
  • Develop and execute campaigns tailored to technical audiences, highlighting technical benefits, use cases, and integrations.
  • Leverage platforms such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, Reddit, and developer-focused forums for engagement.
  • Work with content teams to create technical resources that engage a technical reader such as architectural best-practices, hands-on workshops, C-level roundtables, and influential think pieces.
  • Collaborate on the development of case studies and whitepapers that demonstrate technical use cases and ROI.
  • Partner with Developer Relations to align marketing strategies with developer advocacy efforts.
  • Work closely with Product Marketing to ensure technical content highlights the product’s capabilities in a technologist-friendly way.
  • Support Sales teams by providing insights and resources tailored to technical stakeholders.
  • Use analytics tools to track engagement metrics relevant to technical audiences.
  • Continuously iterate on strategies based on feedback and performance data.
  • Some travel may be required.

What Really Gets Us Excited About You?

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing to technical audiences, such as developers, engineers, or IT professionals and executives.
  • Strong familiarity with the B2B SaaS industry, particularly in headless CMS, or composable technology.
  • Expertise in developer-focused marketing channels, such as GitHub, Stack Overflow, and LinkedIn and across the full customer lifecycle, from acquisition through expansion.
  • Proficiency with marketing platforms like Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Demandbase.
  • Ability to create and communicate highly technical messaging in a way that resonates with technical audiences.
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to balance multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially when working with technical teams.
  • Technical aptitude and an understanding of technical audiences’ workflows, tools, and challenges.
  • Analytical and data-driven, with a focus on actionable insights.
  • Customer-first approach, with a passion for addressing the specific needs of technical users.

Base salary for this role ranges between $115,000 and $130,000 based on skills and experience.

What Do We Offer?

Interesting Work | We hire curious trendspotters and brave trendsetters. This is NOT your boring, routine, cushy, rest-and-vest corporate job. This is the “challenge yourself” role where you learn something new every day, never stop growing, and have fun while you’re doing it.

Tribe Vibe | We are more than colleagues, we are a tribe. We have a strict “no a**hole policy” and enforce it diligently. This means we spend time together - with spontaneous office happy hours, organized outings, and community volunteer opportunities. We are a diverse and distributed team, but we like to stay connected.

Bragging Rights | We are dreamers and dream makers. Our efforts pay off and we work with the most prestigious brands, from big-name retailers to airlines, to professional sports teams. Your contribution will make an impact with many of the most recognizable names in almost every industry including ASICS, Chase, Steve Madden, Holiday Inn, Icelandair, Mattel, Mitsubishi, Riot Games, Shell, and many more!

One Team One Dream | This is one of our values, and it shows. We don’t believe in artificial hierarchies. If you’re part of the tribe, you have an opportunity to contribute. Your voice will be heard and you will also receive regular updates about the business and its performance. Which, btw, is through the roof, so it’s a great time to be joining…

What We Do

Contentstack is a composable DXP which is a digital experience platform assembled from a series of best-of-breed solutions. These solutions work together via APIs to deliver content and digital experiences to customers in a more agile and flexible way than a single, integrated, and essentially monolithic platform. It brings a microservices approach to the DXP space.

Our composable DXP stands out in the market, so your digital experiences can.

The Contentstack platform builds on our pioneering headless CMS roots, making complete what headless CMS alone do not. This includes a built-in Marketplace, full-stack automation, and integrated front-end hosting for full end-to-end digital experience functionality. Unlike legacy DXP solutions, we do this with a 100% open MACH architecture for maximum choice and functionality up and down the composable stack.

There is no stack like Contentstack.
