Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic asset inspections for bridges, culverts, slopes, buildings and road furniture, including preparing and executing weekly inspection programmes.
- Oversee work orders and contract works by reviewing contractors’ method statements and work programmes, and monitoring site progress and quality.
- Coordinate and verify final joint inspections/measurements and ensure timely issuance of Certificates of Practical Completion (CPC).
- Perform site assessments and monitoring, and prepare reports on NOD assessments, third-party issues and routine maintenance.
- Liaise closely with clients, authorities, consultants and contractors to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery.
- Support the design team on engineering/design work as required by the Project Manager / Asset Manager / Project Director.
- Respond to emergencies, assess site conditions, coordinate rehabilitation works and submit the required reports within agreed timelines.
- Ensure all site activities comply with QSHE (quality, safety, health and environment) requirements and company standards.
- Prepare inspection reports and defect lists, update asset inspection status, and notify LPT2 Sdn. Bhd. on routine maintenance needs.
- Coordinate and attend project meetings related to work orders/contract works and draft/maintain minutes of meetings.
Requirements
- Post-Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- At least 5 years’ total working experience, with 3–4 years in asset management and civil works.
- Good knowledge of asset management practices and relevant standards, with exposure to EOSP and CIDB requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project, with strong skills in problem solving, critical thinking and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal skills, trustworthiness and ethics, with the ability to make sound decisions and coordinate multiple stakeholders (clients, authorities, consultants and contractors).
