What will you be doing?
We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Analyst to support business-critical applications and data processes that underpin insights and services delivered to leading manufacturers and retailers in the UK FMCG market. Working with large-scale datasets and international teams, you will help ensure data quality, operational excellence and the reliable delivery of client solutions. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives and the adoption of emerging AI-enabled tools, while building expertise in data operations, data integration and application support within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Support business-critical applications, data processes and operational workflows that underpin services delivered to manufacturers and retailers in the UK FMCG market.
- Validate, process and analyze data from multiple sources, ensuring high standards of data quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Investigate data quality and production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and help implement sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate with business, technical and international teams to support client needs, process improvements and operational excellence.
- Create reports and analyses that support business decision-making and deliver value to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, Python and AI-assisted tools, contributing to Circana's ongoing transformation journey.
Required Skills
- A minimum of a Master’s degree (MSc) in Statistics, Econometrics, Operational Research or similar quantitative field of study
- 2+ years of experience in data operations, analytics, application support, or a related field
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with ETL processes, data integrations, or data processing workflows
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting and visualization tools
- Experience using Python for automation, reporting, or data analysis
- Experience using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to improve productivity, analysis, troubleshooting or automation
- Interest in leveraging emerging AI and automation technologies to improve operational processes and outcomes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and verbal and written fluency in English
- Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies and ways of working
- Ability to work independently as well as within a cross-functional and multicultural team
