Summary:
We are looking for a highly analytical and collaborative Technical Analyst II who operates as a functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) within our digital ecosystem. Working within a pod model where Product Owners (POs) own high-level requirements and Lead Engineers own the detailed technical solution design, your role is to translate product logic into system configurations and precise platform functional mappings.
You are responsible for understanding the functional operational flows within our Salesforce, CPQ, and integration environments. You will execute basic platform configuration, perform system troubleshooting, run API tests, and collaborate with Lead Engineers on detailed solutions. To maximize output, you will actively adopt modern AI productivity tools, like Cursor, to accelerate your data mapping, configuration analysis, and technical workflows.
What You’ll Do -
Technical Analysis & Platform MappingTechnical Requirement Refinement: Ingest business requirements and feature maps led by the PO/PM and deeply enhance them with system-level technical analysis, field specifications and backend acceptance criteria required for engineering execution.
Functional SME & Configuration: Serve as the functional expert for Salesforce CRM (Sales, Service) and CPQ. Work within the detailed solutions designed by your Lead Engineer to execute basic administrative configurations (e.g., validation rules, custom fields, page layouts, basic flow updates).
Data & Field Mapping: Document functional data relationships and data mapping patterns between applications based on defined product goals and architectural guardrails.
AI-Assisted Workflows: Actively utilize AI tools, like Cursor, to increase productivity, data mapping, analyze complex logic, and draft technical documentation.
Data & Payload Generation: Leverage AI to quickly generate system test payloads, structure technical mapping matrices, and automate repetitive analysis tasks.
API Verification: Actively run and configure API requests using Postman to validate endpoints, analyze payloads, and verify data integrations flowing through MuleSoft APIs.
Technical Triage: Perform front-line functional troubleshooting to isolate bugs, identifying whether an issue is a data misalignment, setup error, or code defect before passing detailed technical notes to development engineers.
Bridge Product & Engineering: Ensure developers have absolute functional and system clarity on the product intent as scoped by the PO/PM and Tech Lead.
Quality Verification: Champion pod quality by functionally testing and validating that developed technical features meet the acceptance criteria before deployment.
2+ years of professional experience working as a Technical Analyst, System Analyst, or Functional Analyst within an enterprise agile pod framework.
Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM administration (configuring standard/custom objects, validation rules, page layouts, or flows).
Ability to execute and evaluate web services using Postman or similar API verification tools.
Functional comprehension of how data flows through integration layers and MuleSoft APIs.
Experience tracking agile development sprints, releases, or technical tasks within Copado, Jira, or similar platforms.
Practical understanding of CPQ configurations, quoting lifecycles, or underlying product catalogs.
Experience analyzing or troubleshooting Salesforce CPQ, or Billing system behaviors.
Strong business communicator with a proven ability to collaborate seamlessly with Product Owners, Lead Engineers, and developers.
Proven ability to manage multiple analysis and testing tasks concurrently within a fast-paced pod structure.
Deep sense of accountability for functional outcomes, ensuring what is built behaves exactly as the business intended.
Hands-on experience or strong interest in Cursor and other AI-assisted tools to optimize
Generating functional specifications and user stories from PM/PO blueprints
Designing functional test matrices and mapping system dependencies
How We Work
Product-Led, Analysis-Driven Pod Model: High ownership and collaboration, where POs define what/why, Lead Engineers define the technical how, and Technical Analysts map the functional application.
Shared Accountability: Analysts and engineers jointly share accountability for validating work to maintain platform health.
Heavy emphasis on maximizing analytical speed + quality through Cursor and AI augmentation.
Opportunity to help cultivate a modern, AI-enabled engineering and analysis culture.
Work across a deeply integrated, cutting-edge enterprise stack.
High-visibility role where your system clarity directly impacts customer experience and revenue.
