Techical System Architect

The opportunity
As a System Architect at Aura from Unity, you will design and define the technical architecture of our highly scalable and distributed systems, ensuring they are resilient, cost-efficient, maintainable, and aligned with the company's vision and business needs. You will be part of the Chief Architect's team, working across multiple teams to design comprehensive solutions for complex technical challenges — balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic goals.

What you'll be doing

• Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical specifications
• Partner with engineering leaders to design and develop scalable, efficient and secured architecture
• Create and maintain high-level system architecture documentation and diagrams
• Evaluate technology choices and make recommendations that align with our strategic direction
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
• Identify technical debt and develop strategies to address it
• Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager / Tech Lead / Staff or Principal Engineer
• Proven experience with backend technologies, preferably Python or Node.js
• Experience working in high-scale environments and building data pipelines
• Ability to influence without direct authority
• A role model for accountability, problem-solving, and innovation
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in team settings

You might also have

• Experience working with ML and Data engineering
• Experience in Ad Tech (Targeting, Measurement and Attribution)
