ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Tech Lead on behalf of a technology client to head an outsourced delivery team of 10 engineers. You will be the single point of technical ownership — responsible for architecture decisions, code quality, sprint planning, and bridging the outsourced team with the client's internal stakeholders. The client's in-house team is heavily junior and has no current technical leadership; you are that leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own the end-to-end solution architecture across .NET backend and Angular frontend
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical scoping in collaboration with the client
• Define and enforce coding standards, PR review practices, and branching strategy
• Provide technical mentorship to mid-level and junior developers in the team
• Conduct architecture reviews and make technology stack decisions
• Act as the primary escalation point for all technical issues on the project
• Manage delivery timelines and flag risks proactively to the client
REQUIRED SKILLS
• 8–12 years of hands-on software development experience
• Deep proficiency in .NET (ASP.NET Core / C#) and Angular (TypeScript)
• Strong SQL Server skills — query optimisation, stored procedures, schema design
• Demonstrated experience leading a team of 5–10 engineers in a delivery context
• Strong communication skills for client-facing interactions in English
• Experience with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code review processes
• Comfortable working in an async, distributed team environment
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud deployments
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum delivery methodology
• Prior experience in an outsourced or IT services delivery model
WHAT WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR
• Profiles that are primarily management with no hands-on coding in the last 3 years
• Candidates without any frontend experience — .NET-only profiles are not a fit for this role
