Tech Lead iOS Engineer - BeReal

We are looking for a Tech Lead iOS Engineer to drive the technical vision, architecture, and execution of our iOS application, impacting millions of users worldwide. You will play a key role in shaping the product, mentoring engineers, and ensuring excellence in both delivery and engineering practices.

You will be responsible for:

• Lead iOS technical strategy and architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability.

• Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features with a strong focus on impact and quality.

• Mentor iOS engineers and foster a culture of ownership and technical excellence.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical decisions with product and business goals.

• Own code quality and engineering standards, improving best practices and processes.

• Make high-impact technical decisions, balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.

• Use data and user feedback to inform product and technical improvements.

• Drive innovation in the iOS stack (Swift, SwiftUI) and adopt modern tools, including AI-assisted development.

• Ensure reliability and performance at scale, with a strong focus on user experience.

You’ll work alongside AI tools that amplify your creativity and streamline your day-to-day.

• iOS: Swift, Combine, SwiftUI, SPM, Swift Concurrency, MVVM

• Ops: Github.

• Android: Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, Room, gRPC.

• Backend: Go, Node.js (NestJS, Nx, Typescript).

• Database: Spanner, PostgreSQL, Redis.

• Infrastructure: GCP, GKE, Firebase.

• Data: Amplitude, Tableau.

• 7+ years of experience in iOS development, with significant experience in leading technical projects

• Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, with proven production experience

• Solid understanding of iOS architecture and system design at scale

• Experience in technical leadership, mentoring, and driving engineering best practices

• Strong product mindset with attention to detail in UX, animations, and interactions

• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Interest in data-driven development and analytics

• Highly autonomous, impactful, and results-oriented

• Fluent in English (French is a plus)
