We are looking for an experienced Tech Lead I to architect and build a scalable internal technology platform from the ground up. This is a highly technical leadership role suited for someone who combines strong software engineering expertise, system architecture knowledge, database design skills, and product thinking to build platforms that can support long-term business growth.
You will play a key role in designing the core technology foundation, defining engineering best practices, and leading the development of mission-critical internal systems. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions while building a high-performing engineering culture.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and future-ready system architectures for internal platforms.
- Define long-term database architecture, data models, and schema designs to support evolving business needs.
- Build and optimize unified operational platforms, workflow management systems, and enterprise data infrastructure.
- Translate product requirements into robust technical designs and validate technical feasibility during product planning.
- Lead engineering initiatives from concept to deployment while ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Establish engineering standards, coding best practices, architectural guidelines, and development processes.
- Build, mentor, and grow engineering teams through technical leadership and hiring support.
- Design AI-ready data pipelines that support analytics, automation, and future machine learning initiatives.
- Implement secure systems with appropriate access controls, data governance, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver high-quality technology solutions.
- 8–15 years of experience in Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, Technical Architecture, Data Engineering, or related domains.
- Prior experience as a Technical Lead, Technical Architect, Solutions Architect, Engineering Lead, or Database Architect.
- Proven experience building internal platforms or enterprise operational systems from the ground up.
- Strong experience leading engineering teams and driving technical execution.
- Background working in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments.
- Excellent analytical, architectural, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in database design, schema modeling, normalization, and query optimization.
- Hands-on experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and scalable application architecture.
- Experience designing APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Knowledge of scalability, high availability, fault tolerance, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and modern engineering tools.
- Experience in healthcare, health-tech, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or healthcare workflow systems.
- Experience building AI/ML-enabled platforms or deploying machine learning solutions.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to design platforms for long-term scalability.
- Ability to balance technical excellence with evolving business priorities.
- Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring teams and driving engineering excellence.
