Responsibilities:Lead, develop, and coach the Manufacturing Engineering & Infrastructure team. Ensure clear role definition, capacity planning, performance management, and skill development. Foster a safety‑, quality‑, and improvement‑oriented team culture.
Ensure availability and reliability of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and production-related infrastructure. Oversee technical support for production, including troubleshooting. Act as escalation point for complex technical or organizational issues at the shop‑floor level.
Take responsibility for R&D- and Production-related infrastructure (e.g., utilities, media, cleanroom, safety systems). Ensure infrastructure readiness for new equipment, process changes, and capacity expansions. Coordinate external service providers, maintenance partners, and internal stakeholders.
Support introduction of new machines and production lines, and layouts in close collaboration with Process Development and Production. Take over responsibility for layout planning. Manage technical changes, retrofits, and continuous improvement measures in Manufacturing and Infrastructure. Ensure smooth transition from project phases into stable operation.
Establish and maintain engineering, maintenance, and infrastructure standards. Apply Lean principles and structured problem‑solving to improve availability, efficiency, and cost.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, industrial, or chemical engineering, or a comparable technical discipline, complemented by a strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, equipment engineering, and factory infrastructure. Several years of professional experience in the automotive sector or a similar industry, with a focus on production or industrialization, are required.
Proven experience of leading technical or engineering teams in a production or industrialization context. Ability to combine people leadership with technical and operational responsibility.
Proven track record in implementing new machines / infrastructure in a highly flexible environment - still finishing machine- and infrastructure-related projects in budget and time.
Hands‑on knowledge of manufacturing equipment and production-related infrastructure. Experience in equipment commissioning, modifications, maintenance concepts, or industrial facility management.
Ability to work closely with Production, Process Development, Quality, HSE, and external partners. Confident communicator who can align technical details with operational and management requirements.
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
