The Role

Job Description
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of credit risk managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment

  • Oversee the continuous assessment, measurement, and reporting of credit and collateral risks across various portfolios and products

  • Develop and implement robust credit risk methodologies, models, and stress testing scenarios

  • Ensure the timely and accurate monitoring of collateral values and the effectiveness of collateral management processes

  • Collaborate with front, risk controlling, and other internal departments to identify and mitigate emerging credit risks

  • Prepare comprehensive risk reports and presentations for senior management and relevant committees

  • Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry best practices in credit and collateral risk management, ensuring compliance

  • Participate in the assessment and structuring of Lombard Special transactions

  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the risk monitoring and relevant processes

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; alternatively, a relevant university degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience in credit risk- or collateral management within the banking industry, preferably in private banking or wealth management

  • Leadership experience in a team lead or managerial role is an advantage

  • Strong understanding of credit risk methodologies, regulatory requirements and collateral valuation techniques

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable conclusions

  • Advanced Excel skills, as well as experience with Avaloq, Bloomberg, and data analytics or reporting tools (e.g. Power BI), are a strong plus

  • Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
