Team Manager (Video Streaming Backend and Player development)

We’re looking for a Team Manager to join us at Telia.

I’m Mikael Malmborg, Head of Video Streaming at Telia Play and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We are looking for a new Team Manager for a team consisting of backend and player developers within the Video Streaming unit. The Backend and Player team is at the heart of our service's delivery, responsible for the technical orchestration that springs into action the moment a customer presses "play". This team ensures that our customers enjoy a seamless, high-quality viewing experience, whether they're tuning into live broadcasts or indulging in on-demand content.

What you’ll do:

You will lead a team of skilled developers creating a high-quality streaming experience across all devices in our ecosystems. We care deeply about our customers, and we expect that you do too.

Your main focus will be owning the team backlog, encouraging people’s development and team well-being.

• Lead a group of developers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development in a multi-country setup.
• Drive our delivery and delivery culture with the team, through refinement, planning, execution, and shipping of features.
• Drive/coach the teams cross-team collaboration and deliveries.
• Visualize plans and deliveries for stakeholders.
• Together with the team own and drive shipped quality, all aspects from code quality to high availability in production.
• Track/follow-up/plan production related bugs and activities.
• Work closely with Product Owners and the UX team.
