The role & impact
The Team Manager, Partner Sales is a key leadership role responsible for coaching and motivating (Senior) Account Executives who work directly with Xero's partners. Your impact is realised through your team's success in achieving their sales targets, consulting, and guiding partners through their digital adoption journey. You will ensure your team is engaged, focused on delivering outstanding Partner experiences, and consistently hitting their targets.
You will guide, coach, and develop the team, challenging them to use intuitive thinking to overcome roadblocks. A major part of the role involves aligning with the sales enablement program to continually develop your team's skills , ensuring they maintain activity targets, and have clearly defined account plans. You will also provide critical insights to the broader Xero business regarding buyer trends, competitor activity, and partner feedback.
The team & how they connect
The Partner Channel team works in partnership with Accountants and Bookkeepers to help them and their small business clients become more successful. They achieve this by using Xero's products and services to free up time and gain greater insight into their financial situation. This team is dynamic and collaborative, focused on guiding partners through their digital adoption journey.
Initially, the role will focus on
Leading, coaching, and developing a team of (Senior) Account Executives to achieve their subscription and revenue growth targets.
Ensuring the team maintains high delivery against input metrics, such as meetings and pipeline generation.
Aligning with the sales enablement program to continually develop the team's professional skills and meet personal development requirements.
Advising the broader Xero business on partner insights, including buyer trends, competitor activity, and potential roadblocks.

This is a hybrid role; 3 days of the week in our Cape Town office.

You will bring proven leadership experience in managing sales teams.

You possess a strong understanding of the accounting and bookkeeping space.
You demonstrate experience in all aspects of people management, including ongoing performance management and career progression.
You can leverage your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to overcome roadblocks.
You bring experience in using CRM and sales tools to manage performance.
